CNN has announced that they are discontinuing Piers Morgan Tonight, most probably starting this March. The brit is however tipped to remain at CNN in a new capacity, but definitely not prime time.
Piers lost favour with the audience over his hardline stance on gun control, and his lack of connecting with an American audience on many issues, naturally because it’s not his native country. Since he replaced Larry King Live, the station has lost quite a lot of viewers to rivals Fox news and MSNBC.
His replacement has not been announced, and already lobbying for the job has started. Larry Madowo has announced himself ready incase CNN comes calling.
