Singer Jaguar is still continuing with his entrepreneurial endeavors, this time getting into the Matatu business. The ‘Matapeli’ singer is reported to have acquired a fleet of matatus set to ply several routes in Nairobi. The singer says that his sister will take care of the business, whose primary aim according to him is to create employment.
This is not the first time Jaguar is investing in the transport sector. He owns a fleet of cabs in the city branded ‘Jagz Cabs’, as well as a garage. He has also invested lots of money in real estate.
The singer is well on his way to be Kenya’s wealthiest musician, if he’s not there yet. His monthly income from performances alone is believed to bring him 7 figure amounts. Adding income from his contracts with companies such as Safaricom, plus his businesses, easily makes him Kenya’s highest earning musician.
Some of the world’s highest earning musicians in the world make much more money from their businesses than from their music. The most recognizable of them is Dr. Dre, who for the past 2 years has been named the worlds highest earning musicians, grossing more than $100 million. All this thanks to his headphone company, ‘Beats by Dr. Dre’.
