Yesterday, Kenyans turned out to demonstrate against MPs recent move to pass a bill awarding themselves a hefty send off package. Their actions bore fruits as the president refused to sign it into law, sending it back to parliament.
Among those in the demonstrations were blogger Robert Alai, Singer Eric Wainaina and Boniface Mwangi, the man behind the graffiti painted on various Nairobi walls criticizing the country’s leadership.
