In a bizarre story,  a school in Othaya has lost its 4 year old bus. Karima Boys High School’s bus went missing over the weekend in unclear circumstances. The bus, which was bought in 2008, had been hired for a private occasion, with the school principal receiving Sh 28,000 payment via Mpesa. The man who had hired it claimed they were heading to Gatundu for a burial ceremony.

However, along the way, the school driver was allegedly drugged and left unconscious in Murang’a. He said that he was forced to take drugs at gun point, before being dumped. When he regained consciousness 12 hours later,  the bus was no where to be found. The robbers had been given a 12 hour head way to take it to a destination of their choice. Police have launched investigations, and have asked for help from Interpol. According to sources, the bus was last spotted at Masinga heading to the Coast.
