Competition For Morning Listeners Gets Tougher 

It seems the Genge godfather has landed a job at one of the leading radio station in Nairobi. Starting 6 – 10am Monday through Friday, the talented Genge love singer will be hosting the popularOne breakfast show on 97.1 One FM, Kenya’s Urban and Local Music Station. Nonini will be hosting the show alongside Marcus Olang’. It is reported that Tina Kaggia has moved to the late night show. This comes barely two weeks when he  was Awarded by the MUSIC COPYRIGHT SOCIETY OF KENYA(MCSK) for the highest played Artists Across all media stations in the MCSK GALA NIGHT AWARDS! 
“Thanking my die hard Fans who are always requesting for my music (Genge) “I am excited to be part of the 1fm Family and thank my fans so much for always supporting me in whatever I do.” said the rapper in a statement. He was specific to commend Kenyans for fighting tribalism through the numerous different radio stations and dedicated his recent award to fallen hero Poxy Pressure who had a great contribution for a better MCSK.
