Celebrated radio and TV personality Kalekye Mumo has embarked on the next chapter of her illustrious media career after calling it a day at K24.

The former Kiss FM radio presenter has been hosting ‘Talk Central’ show at the MediaMax-owned station for the past two years. Ms Mumo, 42, presented her last show on Thursday last week, April 4, as the curtain came down on the show.

Kalekye, like most seasoned media personalities before her, is now going solo with her own show on social media.

According to Kalekye, she is moving into her own space where she will be interviewing people doing extraordinary things.

“This will be a show where I let people into my space,” says Kalekye.

Adding; “So I’m now putting together my own content on my own terms in my own channel which is what I’m looking to do. The feeling is that Kenyans want to get into my world to know more about me based on the things I post on social media when it gets to a personal level.

“I want to do interviews but in a style that is things I like, things that affect me personally, things that have been affecting society and that in a format that will capitalize on social media because the future has become digital,” she said.

“I will be taking the audience with me as I look for answers to questions that I have been asking myself.”

Her first show will air live on Facebook today, Monday 8, from 3 pm to 4 pm. Kalekye says the show will later be packaged for YouTube and later to a podcast.
