A primary school teacher has taken his own life after being wrongfully accused of stealing school laptops in Bondo, Siaya.
Elkana Owino Omondi, a teacher at Migiro Primary school was found dead in his house at Nango trading centre.
Area Deputy County Commissioner Samson Akach said the father of ten committed suicide after being frustrated by the school administration over two school laptops which had gone missing.
According to Akach, the deceased left behind a suicide note maintaining his innocence and detailing his frustration with the school’s management.
He also indicated his lack of means to replace what he was being wrongfully accused of stealing. The deceased further implicated two teachers whom he accused of being behind the alleged theft warning that they will live to regret.
His body was moved to Bondo sub-county hospital mortuary awaiting post moterm.
Police are investigating the incident.
