Suspect: A suspect described as a white male in his 30’s was shot and killed in Odessa, according to a Facebook post by the Midland Police Department.

Police officer arrested over SA boxer’s murder
A man has been arrested over the fatal shooting of a South African female boxing champion. Leighandre “Baby Lee” Jegels was murdered in Mdantsane, in the country’s Eastern Cape at about 14:00 local time (12:00 GMT) on Friday. Officials say the suspect was known to the 25-year-old and is a serving member of the South African Police Service.
DR Congo Ebola deaths top 2,000
The numbers of people who have died in the current Ebola outbreak in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo has reached the 2,000 mark, government figures show. The health authorities have struggled to contain the spread of the virus. Neighbouring Uganda said that a nine-year-old girl with Ebola who had crossed the border had died.
