The Sonko family continues to grow after the governor’s eldest Saumu Mbuvi daughter followed in her father’s footsteps of adopting a child.
The Nairobi governor and his wife Primrose Mbuvi are adoptive parents to at least three kids that we know of. And on Tuesday, they welcomed another member to the family after their daughter met a young girl at a children’s home in Malindi.
In a post on Instagram, Saumu Mbuvi intimated that the young girl’s plight moved her to tears. She, in turn, vowed to take care of her “for the rest of my life”.
Yesterday I met such a beautiful Angel at Hearts Children’s home, a child so pure and innocent but what she has gone through left me so broken and in tears. I agreed and vowed that she will be my Responsibility and a new member of my family for the rest of my life. I’m so happy that I’m going to be a mother to such a beautiful soul…May God guide and protect this little Angel for me always,” wrote the mother of one.
In another post, the now-mother of two described how fulfilling the charity visit was as she paid tribute to her late mother.
“The kids there really filled my heart with so much joy and happiness. Some of their life stories left me in tears. There is nothing so amazing than doing charity not for attention or any benefits but for your inner peace and happiness.
“What a beautiful way to remember and celebrate a life of the most kind, caring and loving woman who was my mother, my friend, and my first life-coach.
May your love and goodness shine upon our lives forever❤️❤️ Rest in Perfect Peace Mama.”
