Jimmy Gait is a man of his words after fulfilling a promise he made to his fans from popular Facebook group Kilimani Mums.
Taking to social media yesterday, the gospel musician who’s had a rough couple of months as a result of cyberbullying, shared a snap from a lunch date with six of his fans from the group with close to half a million members.
The gesture is part of his current charm offensive to fight back against the trolls by showing love.
Jimmy Gait is currently riding high on his new song, “Love”, his musical response to everyone who has trolled him positively or negatively.
During an interview on The Trend hosted by Anita Nderu, Jimmy Gait broke down in tears as he emotionally opened up about how internet trolls have affected him.
On Wednesday, however, the After 40 Hotel Brand Ambassador appeared to have put everything else behind him as he hang out with some of his fans.
He wrote: “Am excited to hang out with my fans from Kilimani mums!! I promised to buy them lunch and they agreed to come!! Thanks alot guys! I give u LOVE!!”
Jimmy Gait will be performing on the same stage with Grammy Award-winning American contemporary gospel duo, Mary Mary at the Ngong Racecourse Waterfront on Saturday 27th May.
