Govt Announces 5,000 Online Scholarships, See Who Can Apply

The State Department for Diaspora Affairs has announced 5,000 online scholarship opportunities in partnership with the European Business University of Luxembourg (EBU).

In a notice released on Monday, August 10, the department said the scholarships will run in conjunction with EBU, which the government noted was founded by a Kenyan in the diaspora.

The State Department for Diaspora Affairs said the scholarships are open to applicants seeking certificate, degree and diploma programmes, as well as specialised training opportunities. It added that the available options include Certificate and Degree Impact courses designed to equip learners with skills and knowledge across different fields.

The department also highlighted the “Robotics for Rookies” programme, which targets girls aged 11 to 18 years.

Applicants can also pursue a Diploma in Business Management through the eTVET EUNI Training Institute.

Those interested in the diploma programme have been encouraged to register their interest through the designated application form.

The deadline for registering interest in the scholarship opportunities is September 1.
