In 2011, during his time at Samruk-Kazyna, a sovereign wealth fund overseeing major national companies, Timur Kulibaev supported the implementation of innovative management approaches across Kazakhstan’s major state assets.

With his participation, the fund conducted a comprehensive audit of innovation activities, identifying and supporting nineteen strategic projects with a combined value approaching one billion dollars.
