The Award-winning actress Jackie Matubia is finally coming to a screen near you as the lead role in a new project.

The former ‘Tahidi High’ actress broke the news through her Instagram stories on Thursday. While she did not disclose a lot of details about the project, Matubia shared a video of herself perusing through her script.

She indicated she was at the actor’s lounge at the time, meaning she has already started shooting for the new show.

Jackie Matubia assured fans that they will love her new project.

“At the actor’s lounge, going through my scripts. Hii nayo mtapenda! Your girl is finally a lead actor!” she wrote.

Matubia has been missing from the screens for a while following a long break.

She last played Nana in Citizen Tv’s drama series Zora’which premiered on March 22, 2021, to March 7, 2022.

Last year, Jackie bagged the best female actress award in a drama at the 2022 Women in Film Awards.

She and her actor husband, Blessing Lung’aho, also won awards as the best actress and actor of the year at the Pulse Influencer Awards 2022.

Jackie and Matubia met on the set of Zora in 2021 and as they say, the rest is history.
