A football bet between Eric Omondi and Joe Muchiri is all the rave on Instagram after the comedian jokingly staked his wife in the premier league clash between giants Arsenal and midtable minnows Manchester United.
In the buildup to the match, Omondi, a typically loud Man United fan, had made all sorts of jokes about his ‘Piano FC’ team thrashing the mighty Gunners on Sunday.
Perhaps buoyed by Man U’s ‘stolen’ win over PSG the week before, Omondi even vowed to give away his wife to Capital FM presenter Joe Muchiri if Arsenal won.
However, strikes from Granit Xhaka and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang brought Man U, their manager Ole Gunnar, and their fans back down to earth.
On Monday, Eric Omondi was singing a different tune as he denied having a wife. He explained that he only has a girlfriend and, therefore, his bet with Joe was invalid.
His Italian girlfriend Chantal Grazioli joined in on the fun too and made a video packing her bags to leave Eric for Joe Muchiri.
