Kibra MP Ken Okoth is a fighter, and his friends and fans have taken the time to remind and support him as he continues to battle to stage four cancer.
Last month, the 41-year-old legislator announced that he was diagnosed with stage four colorectal cancer with metastases to the liver (colon cancer).
On Tuesday, the lawmaker gave an update on his continued fight against cancer via Twitter indicating that he is still soldiering on. He was responding to a concerned Kenyan on Twitter who had asked about his condition.
“Hallo Mheshimiwa Ken Okoth, how are you fairing? You crossed my mind today. Am praying for your quick recovery,” posted @WambuiBMW.
The lawmaker responded: “Napambana na hali yangu kabisa. Chemo drugs brutal on the skin and immunity system. #CancerAwareness #WeShallOvercome.”
Ken Okoth was also brave enough to share a picture showing the effects of chemo on his skin.
The tweet was met with messages of support and well wishes from the Kenyan online community.
We have sampled some below.
