Two of Kenya’s top music acts – Octopizzo and Fema Gitu – have entered into a partnership with the self-proclaimed largest vodka brand in the world, Smirnoff.
The ‘Namba Nane’ rapper and the acclaimed singer are the new brand ambassadors of Smirnoff in Kenya. The brand of vodka is owned and produced by the British company Diageo.
Octopizzo and Fena Gitu were unveiled yesterday with Smirnoff Kenya describing them as unique trendsetters who represent the Smirnoff lifestyle.
“Today is a huge day for Smirnoff. We are partnering with two dope brand ambassadors who represent the Smirnoff lifestyle,” said Smirnoff Kenya.
“To work with Kenya’s most unique entertainers, trendsetters who have sickest fashion sense and best hit makers is something we would like to share with you as you enjoy the SmirnoffMixExperience from every part of 254!”
The two artistes were equally excited by the partnership and took to social media to share the good news with their followers.
Fena wrote: “God I see you. Let’s get it. Thank you @smirnoffke for trusting The Fenamenal Woman to represent your brand. I cannot wait to watch this beautiful partnership unfold, and proudly represent you wherever I go!!”
While Octo played it cool and wrote: “Ladies and Gentlemen Say Hello to the NEW Smirnoff Mix Brand Ambassador, Mr. ? P A P I C H U L O ? #HappyNewYear ?it’s about that time them party’s start to Getting Lit for Real!? ”
