Robert Mwambura Kivutha, the son of Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana, over the weekend tied the knot with the love of his life, Alice Lilly Muthoni Mbui in Nairobi.
Mwambura and Muthoni exchanged their vows Saturday at the Karen Community Church.
The ceremony was graced by top politicians including the groom’s father Prof. Kivutha Kibwana, Machakos Governor Dr Alfred Mutua and Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, among others.
While congratulating the newlyweds, Governor Mutua revealed that the lovebirds met while working for the Machakos County Government.
“I congratulate the new couple and wish them all the best. I am glad they met while working in my Government of Machakos. God bless you sana,” said the Maendeleo Chap Chap leader.
The invite-only affair also served as wonderful catch up for Ukambani politicians, bringing together Alfred Mutua and his former boss turned foe Kalonzo Musyoka.
The Machakos County chief expressed optimism that they will work together moving forward.
“We enjoyed moments of laughter as we discussed life and agreed to call each other this coming week to find time to share a cup of tea,” said Mutua.
