The highly anticipated collaboration between Sauti Sol and Khaligraph Jones has been delivered and it is worth the wait.

Dubbed “Rewind”, it is the Afro-pop band’s fourth visual release off their ingenious new LP, Afrikan Sauce.

The releases are part of the band’s unconventional album release involving the unveiling of the project’s tracks over a twelve-month period — featuring top artists from all across Africa.

Keeping true to their word, they just dropped the follow up to their Burna Boy-assisted jam Afrikan Star. This time, Sauti Sol have tapped one of Kenya’s homegrown rap stars in Khaligraph Jones.

In “Rewind”, the stars take listeners on an inspirational trip down memory lane before their come up to fame.

In the accompanying video, they do one better by bringing the lyrics to life with clips and photos of their lives before achieving stardom.

With a punk rock feel combined with afrobeats, Rewind is different from Sauti Sol’s previous releases Melanin, Afrikan Star and Girl Next Door.
