It was all good and happy vibes in Governor Sonko’s family as his grand-daughter, Sasha, turned one.
Born to Sonko’s eldest daughter Saumu Mbuvi and politician Benson Gatu, Sasha celebrated her first-year milestone in style as her mom and grandpa joined forces to throw her a grand bash.
In addition to splashing millions on Sasha’s party, Governor Sonko further celebrated Saumu with a Sh15 million Range Rover Evoque.
Sonko, who shed tears of joy when Saumu Mbuvi gave birth to Sasha last year, gave the gift as a token of appreciationĀ for making him a grandfather and also for raising her daughter as a single mother.
Saumu and the formerĀ Mathioya constituency aspirantĀ parted waysĀ before Saumu delivered their daughter. Gatu, who was once accused by Sonko of joyriding on hisĀ name to gain political mileage, has since moved on withĀ Murangāa governorās daughter Racheal Wanja.
With Gatu nowhere to be seen on Sasha’s day, the rest of the entire Sonko family was joined by friends to make it memorable and fun-filled.
