One month before the opening of the region’s biggest shopping mall, Two Rivers, and its now down to the final touches.
The Centum owned project is set to be opened on Valentine’s day this year. It has previously missed 3 scheduled opening dates, but the owners are confident it will open next month.
“Some of our tenants were not ready to open in September and the decision was made to align everybody and move the opening date to Valentine’s Day next year,” Centum chief executive James Mworia said in November last year.
Key tenants have already mobilized equipment and furniture. The mall will house about 200 shops on its 65,000 square metres of lettable space.
In a bid to set itself apart from other malls, Two Rivers will have various attractions. They have particularly paid a lot of attention to water attractions.
There’s an aquaplay with bumper boats, flume rides, water zorbing, fountains and pop-up jets among other facilities. A dolphinarium will be installed later.
But the biggest attraction right now is probably the dancing fountains and laser shows. The developers borrowed some inspiration from Dubai and the rest of the more developed world, and now the water show is ready.
It was launched last week and the video is out.
