Nairobi Beggar Arrested in Mombasa For Using Burn Victim Boy To Solicit Money (PHOTOS)

A man was arrested Wednesday for obtaining money on false pretences in Mombasa.
The man was nabbed opposite the General Post Office after a report that he was using a burn victim child to solicit money from passers by.
The man was posing as the father of the child, who survived a fire ordeal in which his wife died. The man allegedly rescued his two kids and had one of his legs cut off in an operation.
Interestingly, the man is a familiar face in Nairobi. Two years ago, he was plying his shameless trade in Githurai 45, Machakos Bus station and several other spots.
When word got out that he was a con, he relocated to Mombasa.
Coast police officers are carrying out investigations into the matter.
