This week came the disappointing news that the government has cancelled the construction of a greenfield terminal at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
There are conflicting reports, some saying the contractor failed to secure funds for the project, while others say the project did not make economic sense.
The government argues that it is more economical to continue with the modernization efforts at JKIA.
All in all, a lot of money has been wasted on the Greenfield Project. The contractor was already on site and is said to have been paid sums exceeding Sh400 million.
A lot of money was also spent on media, with tens of newspaper adverts and TV features and documentary(ish), like this one.
