PHOTOS – London Marathon Winner Jemima Receives Heroic Welcome at Moi Airbase

She overcame all manner of hurdles to emerge as the winner of the women’s London Marathon on Sunday, April 24.
Jemima Sumgong won in 2 hours, 22 minutes, and 58 seconds. Her win was even more special and memorable after she was tripped by Ethiopian Aselefech Mergia at 35 kilometres.
The 32 year old was treated to a hero’s welcome at the Moi Airbase where she serves as a Senior Private.
