VIDEO+PHOTOS : Waititu Kicked Out, Mwea MP Assaulted Over Voter Bribery in Malindi Polling Station

Kabete Member of Parliament Ferdinand Waititu was on Monday in trouble at a polling station in Malindi where he was accused of trying to manipulate voters.
The controversial politician was forced out of the polling centre and later taken to Malindi Police station. He recorded a statement and was released on a free bond.
A video doing the rounds on social media shows the moment a woman accused the legislator of trying to solicit IDs from a group of five people, who had surrounded at a bench where he was seated.
An election official is seen engaging the two in a bid to establish what exactly happened.
Also in the hotly contested by-election, Mwea MP Peter Njuguna Gitau was was assaulted by hooligans and later arrested on allegations of voter bribery. Kilifi Women Rep. Aisha Jumwa claimed that she found Gitau red-handed after receiving a call from one of her sisters that Jubilee operatives were dishing out money to voters.
The MP was reportedly nabbed with Ksh 200,000 worth of cash which he insisted was for buying drinking water.
