Violence erupted on Monday in Kariobangi, Nairobi, after two rival groups clashed during the ongoing Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) mass voter registration.
According to reports, the two groups clashed over alleged ferrying of voters.
The morning clash which left several injured, brought the registration process to a standstill, with the rival factions seeking separate registration centres.
Starehe OCPD Alice Kimeli accompanied by a team of police officers moved to the area to neutralise the situation.
