“Hot as I Was, It’s a Shame I Could Not Get a Kenyan Man” – Yvonne Chaka Chaka

April 8, 2015

Yvonne-Chaka-ChakaLegendary South African singer Yvonne Chaka Chaka has described her failure to get a Kenyan man for a husband as ‘shameful.’
The Princess of Africa cannot understand why, despite her hotness and the many trips to Kenya, no Kenyan man managed to sweep her off her feet.
“I performed in Kenya for the first time in 1987. I was just 28 years old. But as hot as I was, I could not get a Kenyan man. Reason? I don’t know. I have performed here many times after that, but I still don’t have a Kenyan man. It’s a ‘shameful’ thing. I am old now but still looking hot. So….”
The singer who graced the Koroga festival last month put African leaders to task over corruption, tribalism and poverty.
“We want to tell our (African) leaders that we can no longer accommodate tribalism, corruption and poverty. We are tired. It’s time for the young people to take over the destiny of our continent. It’s them who have a responsibility of shaping up the Africa they want for themselves and for the future generations,” said Yvonne as reported by Word Is.
On matters sexuality, Yvonne who wants to work with artistes Elani and Fena said we should not judge people due to their sexual orientation.
“We should not kill or judge our brothers and sisters just because of their sexuality. Whether they are gay, lesbians, bisexuals or straight, that is none of our business. They will be answerable to God. Only Him can and will judge them, like everyone of us,” she said.
