Pulse Writer Smitta Smitten Conned By Caroline Mutoko’s Impersonator

If you are a frequent reader of the pulse magazine, then you must be familiar with the name Smitta Smitten. Real name Tony Mochama, Smitta is a controversial writer for the weekly entertainment pullout.
As we speak, he is promising a Ksh 5, 000 reward to anyone who would know the whereabouts of one Levy Wakhangola who he says conned him Ksh 5, 000.
Smitta says he had been in talks with the supposed ‘Caroline Mutoko’ for a week via her Facebook page. In fact, they had settled for a fee of Ksh 10, 000 for Caroline to give a ten minute talk during the launch of his new book dubbed Nairobi, A Night Runners Guide. However, when Smitta paid her a deposit of Ksh 5, 000 through M Pesa, the money landed in the account of  Levy Wakhangola (0705 060 919).
When Smitta questioned why the account wasn’t registered under the Kiss 100 presenter’s name, ‘Caroline’ said that the number belonged to her assistant. It was only after she failed to show up to the event, which was held at Imax theatre, that he realised he had been conned.
He is now urging anyone who might know the whereabouts of the con artist to inform him via his Facebook page ( Tony Ontita).
