Last week, a journalist interviewed Namibian Dillish Mathews, where the Big Brother The Chase winner expressed her interest in meeting her real father.
The gods were listening, and Dillish can now relax because his father has been spotted in most unlikely of places – Rongai.
Abdi Galgayo Guyo yesterday stepped into Standard offices, where he recorded an interview saying he’s in fact the long lost father of Dillish Mathews.
Guyo was apparently on a UN peace keeping mission in Namibia between 1989 and 1990. They were there to monitor the peace process and the first elections.
From his account, Guyo met Dillish mother Selma during one of his patrols. They developed a friendship, and she would occasionally visit him at the army barracks, even spending some weekends there. It was in one of those that Dillish was probably conceived.

After coming back to Kenya, Guyo did not maintain contact and has never gone back to Namibia, for what he calls financial constraints.
He has since married and is a father of 5.
It will remain to be seen if there will be some family reunion 23 years later.
