On Tuesday, Nairobi governor Evans Kidero interdicted 4 senior officers over the loss of Sh 180 million. He also ordered investigation of 25 firms involved in graft.
The interdicted officers are believed to have colluded with the firms to fake supplies that never were, over a period of time.
Among them are Vincent Odhiambo Kamenya (Acting Senior Procurement Officer), Dominic Munyao Ndaka (Security Officer) Jeremiah Karani Maritah (Assistant Works Officer-City Engineer) and Anthony Kipsang Kiano from the Procurement Department.
10 more officers from the departments of Procurement, City Engineering, Treasury and Inspection and Acceptance Committee are also being investigated.
