Fidel Wants Compensation For Defamation.
Raila’s son, Fidel Odinga is going ahead with his suit against medical services assistant minister, Kazungu Kambi. Fidel is suing the mp for defamation. Kazungu Kambi who linked Fidel to the maize scandal wants the case dismissed because Fidel has not prosecuted since 2009.
During the mention of the case on Wednesday, Fidel’s lawyers asked for more time to respond to the application of dismissal. The judge directed the lawyers to file a response by July 16. The case started in February 2009 after Kazungu Kambi addressed a press conference in parliament buildings and sensationally linked the Prime Minister’s son to the scandal.
Fidel wants Kazungu to compensate him.
