While wood is the most popular material in house construction in the United States, here in Kenya it is shunned. We have this perception that wooden houses are cheap and will make us look ‘poor’.
But should this be the case really?
Some Kenyans are trying to change these stereotypes by building incredible houses out of wood. It is cheaper than stone and in some cases more stylish.
Wooden structures also take a fraction of the time stone takes. You can even get your mansion in a month.
