Deputy President William Ruto on Saturday officially opened Winners’ Chapel’s newest branch, and now East Africa’s biggest Church auditorium.

The church, which has its roots in Nigeria, is located on Likoni Road, off Mombasa Road, behind Parkside Towers. This particular auditorium can sit 15,000 people, roughly the size of a small stadium.
It is however worth noting that Winners’ Chapel Nairobi cannot compare with the Winners’ Chapel in Lagos, Nigeria. It goes by the name ‘Faith Tabernacle’ and has a sitting capacity of 50,400 and an outside overflow capacity of 250,000. Faith Tabernacle covers 70 acres, but the entire church compound is 10,500 acres. It was indeed featured on the Guinness Book of World Records in 2008 as the world’s largest church auditorium.

Winners’ Chapel founder, billionaire Nigerian pastor Dr David Oyedepo, was present during the official opening of the Likoni Road branch.
