Daddy Owen’s lovely wife Farida Wambui celebrated her birthday last Saturday, and the gospel hitmaker pulled all the stops to ensure she had a blast.
The ‘Vanity’ hitmaker surprised Farida, taking her on a romantic getaway to Nanyuki at the exquisite Maiyan Luxury resort. According to Owen, it wasn’t easy planning the surprise because of Farida’s tight work schedule.
He did, however, manage to pull it off with the help of a local tours and travel agency.
“So last Sato was her birthday and I decided to suprise her with a holiday.. not easy reason bng she works 9-5 and Monday to Friday.. decided to do a local destination. We settled for Maiyannanyuki which is an amazing place for akaweekend gateway! She was super excited the whole journey coz it’s been a while since we just had our son the other day so trips zilipungua kiasi,” said the musician.
He added, “Unajua my wife ni kaBarbie compared to mimi msee wa mtaa na omundu strong from the land of Nabhongo.. so things like infinity pools na bubble bath zilinitatiza kiasi but all in all we had fun.. yeye anapenda zile masauti za tuchura na crickets in the wilderness usiku yet mimi hizo ndio Kelele nimelelewa nazo nashangaa sahii nalipia such as premium ??? HOW?????? Happy Birthday my LOVE we had such a wonderful time together.”
Speaking about their 3-year marriage, Owen said it has been great.
“You can’t say what has been the best and the worst moments because marriage is not like a relationship which one can just walk out of and go,” he said.
“Rather, when the worst comes, we tackle, handle and settle it maturely. Sometimes what looked like the worst moment can be turned to be the best moment in a flash.”
