King Kaka is not impressed with how a section of Kenyans on Twitter received his new song (Far Away) with American rapper Cassidy.
Having set the standards high in his previous collabo with an international star, American comedian Tracy Morgan, fans were naturally expecting to see Cassidy in the ‘Far Away’ music video but were left disappointed.
“When the video came out, KOT did not see Cassidy in the video and so they started saying it was a hoax. To make matters worse, they also realized he(Cassidy) had not pushed the song on social media. KOT were so quick to jump on negativity, but on Monday he posted it,” said King Kaka in an interview on Kiss FM.
The rapper further explained why Cassidy was a no-show; “He did not show up for the video shoot. We were in LA and it was supposed to be a free video shoot. Cassidy was in Atlanta for a gig and he said he could not miss it so I had to fly to Atlanta to Shoot it. He did not show up after numerous calls but he finally responded with an explanation saying he lost a friend who was shot the night before in Atlanta and so he was mourning at that time.”
King Kaka also revealed that he loved working with Tracy Morgan because he is a humble man.
“When we were shooting the video so many people came there to take pictures with him(Tracy) and he said ‘no, don’t take pictures with me take with him because in two years you will not be able to get close to him,” recalled King Kaka.
