Scottish Highland distillery Glenmorangie last month hosted a single malt whisky tasting in Nairobi. The event was held at Kiza Cigar Lounge, and aimed at creating an exceptional immersion to Glenmorangie’s elegant refinement.
Speaking at the event, Alexandre Helaine, Market Manager Moet Hennessy noted that “We are pleased with the uptake of Glenmorangie in Kenya. Glenmorangie has the tallest stills in Scotland, thereby producing one of the smoothest Single Malt in the world. This appeals to discerning drinkers who recognise and appreciate the best things in life.”
Also in attendance were CEO Soundset Africa Creative Limited Tim Adeka, Ali Oumarou CEO Kiza Lounge & Restaurant, business writer Seth Onyango, among others.
Glenmorangie was founded by William Matheson in 1843. Today, it is distilled in the tallest stills in Scotland, standing at a dizzying 5.24 metres. This ensures that only the lightest and purest vapours condense into the spirit, which is then matured in Missouri White Oak casks for at least 10 years. The trees making the casks are themselves 100 years old.
All this attention to detail imparts a colour and a creamy smoothness of flavour that is pure perfection.
