Ciru Muriuki Finds New Home After Quitting K24

August 7, 2018

Kenyan television personality Ciru Muriuki has revealed her next gig days after announcing her exit from MediaMax-owned TV station K24.

The former ‘K24 Alfajiri’ host has joined the giant media house BBC. While making the announcement on social media, Ciru Muriuki shared a picture taken at her new home and wrote: “New beginnings. ??”

In her Instastories, Ciru revealed that she was beyond thrilled to be joining BBC.

While making her K24 exit after only 8 months, Ms Muriuki described the next phase of her career as a dream come true.

“I’m super excited about the next phase of my career. Dreams do come true,” she wrote.

Before joining K24, Muriuki used to be a panelist on NTV’s The Trend during Larry Madowo’s tenure. She will now be reunited as colleagues with Larry, who was appointed to head the BBC Africa Business desk in April.

Ciru Muriuki also joins her former colleague at K24, news anchor Ian Wafula, who announced his switch last week, thanking Larry Madowo for challenging him to get out of his comfort zone.
