A man from Gacatha Village, Nyeri County is still reeling from the trauma after he was attacked and sodomised on Sunday night.
The 55-year-old said he was on his way home after having a few drinks at Gacatha Shopping Center when three men accosted him. He narrated that the men forced him to a nearby coffee plantation, undressed him, and took turns sodomising him for about two hours.
He said they gagged him to silence his desperate cries for help during the ordeal.
The man now claims that he is afraid of leaving his home for fear of meeting the same fate that has left him nursing both physical and psychological injuries.
While awaiting the results of a test carried out at the Nyeri Referral Hospital where he sought treatment, the victim vowed never to visit a bar or consume alcohol again saying his love for the bottle is to blame for his ordeal.
The victim’s sister-in-law told Citizen Digital that the attack left him traumatised, adding that he was too weak to even walk. She said he had no clothes on when they found him in the morning.
A resident added that there have been over five similar incidents in the recent past but victims are too afraid to report.
One suspect has reportedly been arrested in connection with the attack.
