Media personality Betty Kyallo is not big on gender reveal parties.
The former TV news presenter likened gender reveal parties to launching a baby. The businesswoman noted that while she is not for grandiose gender reveal parties, everyone is entitled to do what makes them happy.
“I don’t think I would do a big gender reveal but kila mtu na maisha yake(Each to their own). If that makes them happy, then why not? But why should I launch a baby,” she posed.
Betty was speaking on the sidelines at the launch of her beauty parlour – Flair By Betty – in Kilimani, Nairobi.
The mother of one also hinted at having another baby saying her daughter Ivanna has been pressuring her for a sibling.
“She wants a baby sister or a brother. It is something I am considering doing in the near future,” she said.
Speaking at the same event, Lang’ata MP Jalang’o also gave his opinion about big gender reveal parties. He said different parents do different things for their children.
