Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe has insisted that unvaccinated Kenyans will be denied in-person access to government services.
CS Kagwe said the government is not forcing anyone to take the vaccine but it will take necessary action to protect vaccinated citizens.
“Nobody is being forced to be vaccinated but your right doesn’t allow you to be a threat to those who have been vaccinated,” said Kagwe.
The Health Minister said those who have chosen not to get the vaccine might as well just make phone calls when they require government services.
“Nobody is forcing anybody from vaccine but the government has a responsibility. The only thing that has been said is if you want to go on a government office make a call, otherwise get vaccinated,” he said on Tuesday.
Mutahi’s remarks came hours after the High court suspended an order requiring anyone seeking government services to provide proof of full Covid-19 vaccination.
