Lamu Senator Anwar Loitiptip is back on his feet as he closes in on a full recovery.
The politician has been recuperating at home after he was discharged from Aga Khan University Hospital where he had been admitted following an assault by unknown attackers on June 2.
Taking to his Facebook age on Monday, Senator Loitiptip announced he has fully recovered and back to work. He also sent a message to his attackers saying he loves them.
The Senator also hinted at vying for a Governor seat in the near future.
He wrote, “Alhamdhulila! Am Back to my Feet Again..it’s Another Monday and Another Day that one should be Greatful To..To All my Enemies I Love you All, to my Friends and Family thanks for Standing with Me. Last week, Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko’s daughter Saumu Sonko thanked the Senator for risking his life to protect her during the attack at Memphis Lounge in Kasarani.
She also hinted at marrying the lawmaker as she referred to him as ‘future’.
“Hi Future, Thank you for putting your life before mine, For standing by me, Advising me and always being there for me …you will forever be my Bestfriend. Wishing you quick recovery hun,” she wrote.
