A suspected armed bandit is on the run after he shot six children in Elgeyo Marakwet County on Sunday.
Marakwet East Sub-County Police Commander Vincent Kitili said the man shot the children — all from his family — while they were sleeping at their home in Kapker Village.
The Police commander said the man shot the children, two of whom are his own, after a domestic fight with his wife, who was not present during the incident.
Three of the children died while three others are admitted at Iten County Referral Hospital in Elgeyo Marakwet County. Bodies of the deceased were moved to Iten Referral Hospital mortuary.
Commander Vincent Kitili said they are searching for the man who fled after the act on Sunday night.
