Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has doubled down on his claims that individuals within President William Ruto’s office are leaking classified government information directly to him.
Speaking during an engagement with leaders in Nakuru on Thursday, August 6, Gachagua stated that these informers, whose identities he vowed to protect, have been feeding him intelligence because they lack confidence in President Ruto’s leadership.
He cautioned his former boss against attempting to unearth the leaks, asserting that the Head of State would never identify the sources.
“These are very patriotic Kenyans, and they realized that Riggy G is a truthful man, and when they feed me with intel, I will relay it as required, and without blackmailing anyone,” Gachagua stated. “When he was launching Vision 2060, it was people from his office who leaked the information to me. Most of them are my people.”

The Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) leader further alleged that his informers are deeply concerned about government extravagance, particularly when many staff members within the administration remain underpaid. He offered unsolicited advice to President Ruto on how to plug the leaks.
“If you don’t want me to get information, ensure that those working around you are well taken care of. Make sure they get some of the money that you are dishing out to those visiting State House,” he remarked.
Comparing the covert intelligence operations to the historical Mau Mau network due to the extreme secrecy involved, Gachagua dropped fresh allegations concerning a funding crisis at the State Department for Immigration. He claimed that civil servants in the department alerted him to financial shortages that have allegedly halted passport printing services.
According to the “truthful man”, a Cabinet Secretary diverted funds intended for passport production to bankroll political allies ahead of a future presidential bid. He claimed the CS is using public money to build a political base to position himself as his region’s next kingpin.
Gachagua concluded by challenging the media to visit Immigration offices across the country to verify or disprove his allegations.
