Tanzanian tycoon Reginald Mengi has died.
According to reports by two of his media outlets, IPP and Radio One, Mengi passed on in Dubai.
One of the richest people in Tanzania, Mengi is the chairman of IPP Gold LTD. The billionaire was also an author and philanthropist.
The 75 year old’s media group owned many popular properties in Tanzania, including ITV, East Africa TV, Capital TV, Radio One, East Africa Radio, and Capital FM. He also owned a news publishing company which published the Guardian, Nipashe and Alaska magazines.
A few months ago, he signed a deal with a South Korean firm to establish a vehicle assembly plant in Dar es salaam.

Renigald Mengi leaves behind his wife Jacqueline Mengi – 39 year old former Miss Tanzania. The two got married in 2015 in Mauritius.
