A KDF soldier has reportedly committed suicide by shooting himself in Eldoret.
Before turning the gun on himself, the soldier shot and killed 3 family members, namely his girlfriend, step-mother and uncle. The incident happened at Jua Kali area in Eldoret.
According to reports, the soldier drove himself to his relatives’ home Tuesday morning at around 5:30 am and opened fire. He is based in Gilgil and is believed to have travelled overnight.
Police officers have been dispatched to the home to probe what really happened.
Today’s incident happens just weeks after Moi University student Ivy Wangeci was killed, also in Eldoret.
