“Sirisia MP John Waluke Wants Me Dead,” Claims Daughter in Law

March 14, 2019

Sirisia MP John Waluke’s daughter-in-law is a troubled woman after the lawmaker allegedly sent his bodyguards to beat her up.

Philezian Barasa, 26, says she is living in fear because Mr Waluke wants to kill her. Speaking to a local newspaper, Barasa said Waluke’s bodyguards flogged her over the weekend.

“They whipped me for about two hours until I passed out,” Barasa told the Star on Wednesday inside her boutique in Bungoma town.

She says they then bundled her into a car and abandoned her in a forest “to die”.

When she regained consciousness, Ms Barasa called her sister who rushed her to Bungoma Referral Hospital where she was admitted with severe pains.

“The guards had a rope with which they wanted to hang me but it’s like they dropped the idea after beating me senseless.”

According to Barasa, Waluke has threatened to kill her if he finds her with his son again. Philezian is Nelson Waluke’s wife of four years. The couple has a child together.

Barasa, who was discharged on Tuesday, alleged that the MP beat up his son Nelson Waluke before the guards were unleashed on her.

The Star reports that Barasa was with her husband when they met the MP in Bungoma town on Saturday. Waluke later went to his village home in Sirisia with his son.

“Nelson later called me saying he was stressed. He asked me to join him at home.”

After spending the night together, the couple realised they had been locked inside their house.

At about 2 pm, Waluke is said to have arrived with bodyguards before a heated altercation ensued. The MP is said to have stormed the house saying, “This is the girl ruining my son. She should be handled firmly.”

With that, the bouncers beat up Barasa leaving her unconscious.

The woman told the local daily her problems with the father-in-law began when he got wind they were planning to get married.

“My parents-in-law have always been against our marriage despite their son saying he has a strong bond with me and the child,” Barasa said.
