American actor Anthony Howard Goldwyn, who played President Fitzgerald Grant in hit series ‘Scandal’, has graced Kenya with his presence.

The producer, director, and political activist visited the country alongside Hollywood writer Jamal Joseph for discussions on the production of a Kenyan feature film.

The film is based on the true love story of Kennedy and Jessica Odede as captured in the New York best seller “Find Me Unafraid”.

Tony Goldwyn and Jamal on Monday held a meeting with the Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) chief executive Ezekiel Mutua where he expressed optimism that the film would be shot in the country.

“They [Tony Goldwyn and Jamal Joseph] are here for the initial discussions on the project and the Board is leading the way in creating a facilitative environment to ensure that this movie is done in Kenya,” said Mutua.

“To Kennedy and Jessica, to Eugene Mbugua and Mwaniki Mageria who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make this trip a reality we say a big Thank You. And to all the industry players who provide positive criticism and feedback about our work, we hear you too and we remain humbled by your commitment to the film industry.”
