Deputy President William Ruto and gospel star Bahati have met once again, just months after the gospel star claimed he had been barred from getting anywhere near the DP.
In April, while speaking during an event graced by DP Ruto in Kirinyaga, Bahati joked that he had been banned from the Presidential dais.
This, he said, was because of his infamous incident at the launch of the Jubilee party in 2016 at Kasarani stadium when Bahati ‘evicted’ President Uhuru Kenyatta from his official chair, sat on it and sang to first lady Margaret Kenyatta. He also did the same with Deputy President William Ruto.
“Nowadays I can only wave to you from afar, I was told not to come near you during performances, but still, that’s okay,” said Bahati in Kirinyaga.
He added: “I’m still excited to sing in your presence and see you getting excited Bwana Deputy President.”
Well, the two ‘buddies’ met once again last week and once more, delivered a light-hearted moment. They met at Pumwani Girls Secondary School for a joint fundraiser in aid of the school’s accrued debts on Starehe MP Charles Njagua’s invitation.
Pictures of their light-hearted encounter have excited fans on social media with Bahati claiming that the DP made a special request.
“The Deputy President H.E William Ruto Says he Wants to add a Rap Verse in my Collabo with Hon. Jaguar MNAONAJEE TUMPEE??? ” Bahati captioned a picture.
