Veteran Kenyan hitmaker Chrispin Mwangale, best known as Big Pin, has dismissed reports reprts that he suffered a heart attack.

The hitmaker was last week rushed to Aga Khan Hospital after suddenly collapsing while in a meeting at Hallmark offices, Nairobi.

His brother, Philip, announced the collapse, saying: He[Big Pin] was having a board meeting in Hallmark. Then he collapsed and was taken to Aga Khan in Westlands. From there he was put on an ambulance and taken to the main hospital. It runs in the family. It is genetic.”

Debunking media reports that he suffered a heart attack, the 34-year-old rapper attributed his collapse to fatigue. He says it was nothing serious and assured his fans he was okay.

“I was in the board room dealing with work reports and projects when I felt dizzy and collapsed. I was rushed to Aga Khan Hospital in Westlands and they referred me to the main hospital on Third Parklands Avenue,” said Big Pin.

“After some tests, I was told I have angina, chest pain caused by reduced blood flow to the heart, which can lead to heart attack. I was admitted for three days and discharged with an order for a week’s bed rest.”

He added, “This was caused by fatigue and lack of rest.  I used to travel a lot, record my music and also deal with business at the same time. I never had rest but right now I am doing well and I just went back to work though I was told to slow down and have a good diet.”
