A man is in police custody for allegedly strangling his one-year-old daughter on Saturday night in Riruta.
The suspect was apprehended after being tracked to Karura forest where he was planning to commit suicide.
A police report states that the man committed the heinous act after his wife ran away on Tuesday night following a dispute.
He reportedly called his pastor after killing his daughter and confessed what he had done.
The pastor quickly informed police who went to his house and found the body of the minor lying on her bed. She had bruises on her neck.
Her body was taken to the City Mortuary.
The accused will be arraigned in court and charged.
