Pictures of a female traffic marshall helping a disabled man in Nairobi’s CBD have earned the dedicated public servant praise from Kenyan netizens.
The snaps shared on Twitter show the uniformed traffic marshall helping a disabled man cross the road in Nairobi’s Central Business District.
While the marshall’s gesture is admirable and has been seen as faith-restoring, such is the sorry state of Kenya’s civil service that we have to applaud someone for doing their job.
The incident comes less than a week after a female police officer was captured carrying a police recruit on her back after she got injured.
A section of cynical Kenyan netizens was, however, convinced it was stage managed.

The new photos were shared by one Ahmed Mohamed who captioned them: “A Nairobi County Traffic Marshall helping a disabled person cross the road in the CBD. There’s still faith in humanity. Congratulations.”
